Character

Region

Languedoc-Roussillon

In the South of France, adjacent to the Rhônetal, the country’s largest wine region – the Languedoc – embraces the coastline of the Mediterranean with its vineyards and picturesque old stone houses. The climate is characterised by an abundance of sunlight, mild winters and hot summers. The vines that flourish here, mainly on limestone soils, are strong and robust thanks to the dryness of the region. Alongside viticulture, olives are also cultivated agriculturally without any additional artificial irrigation. The Languedoc is a multifarious region, with the Mediterranean ambience omnipresent: the typical earthenware, the light textiles and the dainty, delicious cuisine.

Producer/Brand

Les Jamelles

Connoisseurs worldwide delight in the fine, mainly single-variety, terroir-marked wines of the Les-Jamelles series from the family business Badet-Clément in Languedoc-Roussillon. The company works with different winegrowers from the region and presses its wines at the new, modern winery near the Canal du Midi. The result is regular awards at competitions, praise from the international press for quality and originality as well as the ascent of Badet-Clément towards becoming one of the most successful French wine exporters.
