Character

A powerful bouquet of mandarin and orange greets the nose with this fruity, golden yellow wine This is enhanced by roasted aromas of biscuit and toast, along with some spicy pepper and vanilla notes. In the mouth, the full-bodied, incredibly harmonious but very soft structure is a sheer delight.

Südostaustralien

South East Australia includes several federal states in the South-East as well as all the important Australian winegrowing regions in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. This is what makes the sizable region an official super-zone. Thanks to its proximity to the ocean, the climate is dry and quite Mediterranean, rendering it ideal for viticulture. Gentle hilly landscapes and fertile soils provide the best possible conditions for ripe grapes and fruity, sun-spoilt wines.

Die Wurzeln des Unternehmens Bataillard liegen weit zurück, im 16. Jahrhundert. Die Luzerner Firma Businger & Cie stellt damals als Logistiker und Dienstleister im Nord-Süd-Handel den Schiffsverkehr auf dem Vierwaldstättersee, am Fuss des Gotthards, sicher. Später wird Businger auch Lebensmittelgrosshändler und Weinimporteur. 2004 hat die Tochter von Liliane und Hans-Erich Fischer-Curti, Corinne Fischer, die Geschäftsleitung von Bataillard AG übernommen, welche sie bis 2012 mit Herzblut führte. Seither amtet Corinne Fischer als Verwaltungsrats-Präsidentin. Ihr Bruder Marc Fischer ist Geschäftsleiter von Steinfels Weinauktionen. Die Firma ist bis heute im Besitz der Familie.
