Character

On the eye, this wine has an intense golden colour; lively aromas of apricot, peach, quince and floral notes on the nose are accompanied on the palate by pleasing dimensions of vanilla. Its wonderfully fresh, soft and highly harmonious body is complemented by a long and sustained finish.

Region

Venetien

With its tourist hotspot of Venice, Veneto is one of Italy’s most popular wine regions – and among the country’s three largest. Geographically, Veneto is very diverse: One third of the area is covered in mountain ranges; the central planes contain extensive rice fields and are marked by a coastline. The Venetian wines are likewise multifarious. A rocky and calcareous soil, overlain with red and brown earth, provides the vines with good growth conditions. The foothills of the Alps secure the Northern border of the vast region and protect the area from the onslaught of the Northern-European weather –thus safeguarding a balanced climate. On the warmer plains on the Adriatic shore, predominantly red vine types are cultivated. Excellent white wines are produced in the cooler regions – undoubtedly the most well-known being Prosecco.
