Character

In the glass, this wine has a garnet-red gleam; on the nose are powerful fragrances of blackberry, cherry and chocolate. On the palate, these are joined by intense notes of dried fruit and a touch of liquorice, surrounded by velvety tannins, a wonderful freshness and an unbelievably full, soft and harmonious body. A lengthy finish prolongs the enjoyment of the wine.

Region

Aragonien

Producer/Brand

Bodegas Alto Moncayo

Alto Moncayo is the premium brand of Bodega Borsao. It was founded in 2002 and covers 60 hectares of vineyards – exclusively planted with 30 to 100-year-old Garnacha vines of the very finest quality. Everything here revolves around perfecting the Garnacha grape. And the results are highly successful, too: thanks to being aged in new barriques for between 16 and 24 months, the wines mature to create an incredibly full, dense and fabulously fruity taste.
