Galavera

A nearly forgotten Sardinian word gave the winery its name: Galavera stood for the satisfaction and pride of the farmers after a hard day’s work. Today, committed winemakers associate the term with Sardinia’s ancient history. With much passion and care they cultivate the rare, indigenous and highly sophisticated grape variety known as Cagnulari, which thrives mainly in the region surrounding the winery in the far North-West of the Island. Thanks to consistent management of the produce and a very high level of expertise, the result is visible in the form of wonderfully full-bodied, fruity red wines marked with the Sardinian Indicatizione Geografica Tipica Isola dei Nuraghi.
