Ciacci Piccolomini
In the hamlet of Castelnuovo del Abate in the province of Siena, Paolo Bianchini, a member of the owner family, manages the Ciacci Piccolomini viticulture estate. The illustrious ancestors of Bianchini include popes and kings, and the family has been committed to the Brunello tradition since the 18th century. The vines grow on stony soil on the slopes of the river Orcia, which creates a particularly mild microclimate on its surrounding hills. The goal of producing valuable and healthy grapes in the vineyard is achieved by combining tradition and the latest technology, thus rendering the wines both modern and ageless.
