Cantina Valpantena
The Cantina Sociale della Valpantena lies in the heart of Valpantena, northwest of Verona. The cooperative, founded in 1958, mainly grows the indigenous varieties of Corvina and Rondinella here in the valley with verified designation of origin in the Verona hills. Commitment and professional care are part of all production phases, whereby tradition and technical innovation become one. The excellent quality of the wines proves that the grapes and olives of the 300 member farms of the Cantina Sociale Valpantena are optimally processed.
Venetien
With its tourist hotspot of Venice, Veneto is one of Italy’s most popular wine regions – and among the country’s three largest. Geographically, Veneto is very diverse: One third of the area is covered in mountain ranges; the central planes contain extensive rice fields and are marked by a coastline. The Venetian wines are likewise multifarious. A rocky and calcareous soil, overlain with red and brown earth, provides the vines with good growth conditions. The foothills of the Alps secure the Northern border of the vast region and protect the area from the onslaught of the Northern-European weather –thus safeguarding a balanced climate. On the warmer plains on the Adriatic shore, predominantly red vine types are cultivated. Excellent white wines are produced in the cooler regions – undoubtedly the most well-known being Prosecco.
